Frequently Asked Questions
What makes PURAFF duvet covers pet-friendly?
Yes. PURAFF pet-friendly duvet covers are specially engineered for shared sleep with dogs and cats. Crafted from 100% Lenzing™ TENCEL™ Lyocell, they combine an ultra-smooth botanical weave that prevents fur from anchoring with thoughtful pet-safe details, including concealed claw-safe closures and hassle-free machine washability.
What is the best duvet cover for pet hair, and how does it work?
Bedding made with authentic TENCEL™ Lyocell is widely considered the best choice for pet hair. Unlike traditional cotton or linen with coarse weaves that trap fur, our ultra-smooth microscopic fiber structure prevents pet hair from weaving into the fabric. Dog and cat hair simply glides on the surface, making it easy to shake off, lint-roll, or wash away.
Do PURAFF duvet covers have zippers and corner ties?
Yes. Every PURAFF duvet cover features a fully concealed, smooth-glide zipper closure to prevent curious paws from chewing or snagging exposed hardware. Inside, reinforced corner ties secure your duvet insert firmly in place, keeping it from shifting or bunching even when pets jump on the bed.
Will pet claws snag or tear TENCEL™ duvet covers?
PURAFF duvet covers are crafted with a high-density, tightly woven botanical weave engineered for daily shared sleep. The tight continuous filaments provide superior snag resistance against normal pet paws and claws compared to loosely woven linen or low-thread cotton. (We always recommend keeping pet nails trimmed for optimal longevity.)
How do I wash and care for a TENCEL™ Lyocell duvet cover?
Caring for your duvet cover is simple. Zip the cover closed and machine wash in cold water on a gentle or delicate cycle using mild detergent. Tumble dry on low heat or hang dry in the shade. The botanical fibers naturally resist pilling and retain their silky coolness and luster across frequent washing cycles.
What is the difference between TENCEL™ Lyocell and regular lyocell?
Lyocell is the generic category of cellulose fiber, while TENCEL™ is the certified trademarked brand produced by Lenzing AG in Austria. Lenzing™ TENCEL™ is manufactured through an eco-friendly closed-loop process using sustainably harvested eucalyptus and beech wood, ensuring superior fiber purity, silky softness, and unmatched breathability compared to unbranded generic lyocell.
